from alot of years ago i always wanted to learn how to type chinese words by keyboard but of cuz failed =p

at one time i rmb i got a book abt "倉頡/仓颉".. but i read the 1st very few pages and i give up cuz its too hard to understand
btw "倉頡/仓颉" is one of the many way to type chinese by keyboard

now i know that most taiwan and HongKong ppl using the 3rd generation Simplified "倉頡/仓颉", that is called "簡易倉頡/速成"(also is wad i am trying to learn now)
not going to explain wad is the diff between dem, cuz i am lazy..
the only thing that i am going to sae is, "速成" only consist on 1 or 2 characters to type a word

1st phase - 倉頡字母/Keyboard Key Location


-> total there will be 25 characters to rmb, exluding "Z"

2nd phase - 輔助字形/Key Stroke
-哲理類/Philosophical group
-筆劃類/Stroke group
-人身類/Body parts group
-字形類/Character shapes group

3rd phase - 基本概念/Stroke Location
-基本字形
-取碼順序
-取碼步驟

4th phase - 取碼原則
-完整原則
-省略原則

5th phase - 例外字
-特殊字
-難字
-書寫字體

Last phase - 標點符號
-標點符號


the way to make your keyboard to use 速成 in Window XP is:
->Go to "Control Panel"
->Go to "Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options" (for those who is using Category View, for Classic View, skip to next step)
->Click on "Regional and Language Options"
->Click on "Languages" tab at top
->Under "Text Services and input languages" groupbox, click on "Details"
->Under "Installed services" groupbox, click on "Add"
->Under "Input language" choose "Chinese(Taiwan)" and Under "Keyboard layout/IME" choose "Chinese (Traditional) - Quick" and click "ok"
->Under "Default input language" choose "English (United States - US)" (this is to prevent everytime ur default typing language is 速成)
->Click "OK"
->Note: To switch between 速成 and English(default), use press left Alt + left Shift (its a default unless u got change "Advenced key setting")

OK TIME FOR A 1st SIMPLE EXMAPLE!!
now i am going to type out "豆".
1st i am going to type "一(M)".
2nd i am going to type "廿(T)".
"豆" appears at 2nd option, press "2".

OK TIME FOR A 2nd SIMPLE EXMAPLE!!
now i am going to type out "好".
1st i am going to type "女(D)".
2nd i am going to type "木(V)".
"好" appears at 1st option, press "1".

OK TIME FOR A 3rd SIMPLE EXMAPLE!!
now i am going to type out "网".
1st i am going to type "月(B)".
2nd i am going to type "大(K)".
since "网" appears at 2nd column 1st option, press SPACEBAR(or use mouse to click on the double down arrow[next column]) then press "1".


still dunno? learn at the in internet(lazy to explain abt the stroking and stroking positioning that thing) =p
